Still Here....

These past few months have been busier than ever and flew by so quickly. School is almost to an end for me. Well, my pre-reqs actually. If I get accepted this year into the Nursing program then I have another two years. I cannot believe that it has already been two years. If I don't get into the program this year then I will retake any classes to improve my grades and apply again next year, hopefully that won't happen but they only accept 30 people and I do not know how many applicants there are. Mylah turned 8 on Feb. 1st. A few days before her Birthday she asked me "Mom is my voice going to change when I turn 8?" Where do kids come up with this stuff???? Tresa answered her by stating "Mylah that happens when you are a teenager!" All I could do was laugh. I believe boys are the ones who go through the voice change;) Tim got a promotion in his job position and just found out that he is back on the promotion list for staff sergeant. So he is excited. Tresa is now reading between and kindergarten and first grade level which is amazing. We are so proud of her and happy that she enjoys school. Mylah has different strengths and has never been fond of school. We have had to make some big decisions these past few weeks. Our last parent teacher conference was quite upsetting. She is falling behind in Math and her teacher seems to think her reading needs to improve. We feel her reading has improved tremendously over the past few months. She is reading chapter books and enjoys reading now. We decided to have her tested at Sylvan learning center in the Tri-cities. She is now enrolled there four hours a week. She loves it so far and I know that this will boost her confidence and they will help her more than we have been able to. We are so proud of her for taking this leap to work extra hard! So we are doing all we can to help Mylah and hopefully she will start to enjoy school. I guess its time to renew our Costco card so we have something to do while she is there. I can at least study or we can visit the Stovers. I am so proud that Mylah has a good attitude about going. I pray that Sylvan is the ticket.

During spring break we put in a living room light and painted our hallway as well as updated a few things around the house. When I take some pictures I will post them. Well that is about it for now. Please email me your blog addresses as they were deleted when I got my new laptop. They are no longer in my favorites:(

Misc...I too am not a great blogger

Seriously....We counted almost 40 Barbies

Above and Below is a Barbie Dog that eats treats then disposes of them....They have had this toy for a while (Their Aunt and Uncle bought it)...it just cracks me up that they made something like this...at least it came with a pooper scooper and a garbage can;)

This was the girls' ginormous doll house they got for Christmas...It even has an elevator
Yesterday Tim thought of a great idea...He tied a rope to the girls' saucers and had the dogs pull them...The dogs got really wore out, which was the idea. They have been cooped up this winter. Also the girls were wore out although they didn't go to sleep earlier. Question: Don't you say Mush to sled dogs?

THIRTY

So Most of you know I turned 30 this past Saturday. Some of you celebrated with me on my special day. I just want to say Thank you for all the well wishes, cards, emails, texts, phone calls, hugs, facebook messages, and gifts that I received. I have never had a surprise Birthday nor has my Birthday ever been very big because of the time of year. I felt so loved and thank you all very much. Tim worked very hard to make it special and he exceeded far beyond that. I would share pictures but I don't have any. Well, it is time to go play in the snow today! Have a blessed day!

Break time....

My winter break started last week and I am loving it!! I started a book that I have been wanting to read that doesn't require homework or a test after reading:) I did really well this term. I was absolutely shocked when I saw my report card last night. I thought I did a little worse than I did. No complaints here! Tim surprised me and took me to a movie this last Saturday for part of an early B-day present. He also had one of my best friends show up with their husbands and join us. Afterwards we went to Nookies for appetizers. They were really good! The girls gave me another present yesterday and apparently there is more. I have to say that I am so so blessed! Tim recently applied for a different position at his work that is very beneficial for him. He got the job and starts the new position on the 22nd. He will have his own office now too. I told him I would help decorate it "manly style." He accepted my offer!
I caught the girls sitting on the table like this the other night. I have no idea where they learned this, I am sure from some movie. Tresa said "We are meditate." :) They saw me with the camera before I took this picture but I made them close their eyes again. Before the snow hit the ducks that live in the creek behind our house.
After the snow hit! Below Jack thinking of a way to get to the ducks with out getting too cold and wet. He loves the water but is not trained to hunt so he isn't to used to it. He did finally jump in and I swear his eyes about jumped out of his head. He looked at me like "Are you kidding me that water is ridiculously cold!" He jumped right back on the bank. He did scare away 1 duck. We are so proud;) Yesterday we had a two hour delay and today NO SCHOOL!! Mylah and Tresa are still in their pj's and it is 1pm. Gotta love snow days!
